The U17's opened their U17 FL campaign with an impressive away defeat of Skryne thanks to a rampant second half display. Na Fianna played against a strong breeze in the first half and found themselves behind by 6 points at the break as a poor end to the half saw the away side let two goals in. Lewis Dowling and Sean O' Neill were particulary effective in this half as was Conor Downey who was keeping tabs on county minor star Liam Tolan.
Na Fianna were on fire in the second half as each player upped their game and put huge pressure on the home defence. Conor Geraghty and Daniel Queeney began to excel and when Dowling netted a goal, Na Fianna opened up a two point lead which they never relinquished with Sean O' Neill tagging on the last of his seven points and Queeney completing his five point tally.
