Na Fianna travelled to Kilmainamwood and were good value for the two points as they kept up their impressive start to the year. With Meath Senior player Ollie Lewis completly dominant at midfield throughout the game, Na Fianna had most of the possession and but for squandering a host of scoring chances they would have been far more ahead at the end.

The away side led by 0-6 to 0-4 at the break as Dean henrick was a thorn in the home side’s defence and minor player Sean O’ Neill adding two points on his first start.

Na Fianna held the home side scoreless in the second period and added five more points themselves through Henrick, Dec Brennan and Jamie Queeney. The defence were dominant and ensured a deserved away win.

Team: Shane Geraghty, Bob Walsh, Christy Cosgrave, Shane Burke, John Baldwin (Capt), Tommy Cosgrave, Padraic Hogan, Brian Queeney, Ollie Lewis, Damien Downey, Dec Brennan (0-2), Conor Downey (0-1), Dan Queeney (0-1), Dean Henrick (0-2), Sean O' Neill (0-2).

Subs: David Lynch for Hogan, Jamie Queeney (0-3) for D Queeney, Davy Lyons for Burke, John O' Lone for Downey, Ailbhe Mahon for Brennan.
