Na Fianna picked up a well earned win in Enfield on Thursday night with a one point win over visiting Moynalvey.Na Fianna were poor in the opening half as they trailed by 0-10 to 0-5. Daniel Queeney caused lots of problems up front for Na Fianna but numerous mistakes led to them trailing by five at the break.
On the resumption the home side were quickly off the mark through Ailbhe Mahon, and this was followed in quick succession by points from Queeney, Damien Downey and Diarmuid Bailey as Na Fianna quickly took the lead. Moynalvey never gave up though, and when things could have been different if they had converted a penalty midway through this half which only went over the bar. To their credit, Na Fianna hung on to their lead and it could have been larger after the away side’s keeper saved when Dalton Mc Donagh was through on goals.
